When my brother and I were young, we would play Risk somewhat regularly, and it always ended the same way. He would end up controlling the entire globe, except for Madagascar, and I would stack so many armies on Madagascar that he couldn't possibly overtake me.

This was in the 80s, when the "armies" in Risk were roman numerals. IIRC, you had "I" "III", "V" and "X", so I'd have as many "X"s on that tiny country as I could get. They looked just like this: http://i.imgur.com/CSpAkrv.jpg ‎· Mr. Noodle
Makes me think of Eddie Izzard's little bit about playing Risk... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kpcxfsjIIbM ‎· Hookuh Tinypants
