This is wrong on so many levels. I love @NathanFillion & rest of the cast but #Castle seems worthless w/o Beckett. .
I'm sad to see Lanie go as well, but she's been mostly a minor character for most of the show. Beckett is basically the star of the show. It might be called "Castle", but he's secondary to Beckett in most aspects of the show. ‎· Mr. Noodle
Yep. I think its the stupidest thing I've seen from ABC in a long time. And I've read they haven't offered the other supporting detectives contracts either. Its the dumbest thing I've seen from them in a long time. If Beckett leaves then they should just end the show. ‎· Dani (aka ashuping)
It feels like so many shows do this (Castle, Blacklist, and Sleepy Hollow so far for this year) as the default answer for "budget problems." I'm at the point where not only am I dumping shows that do this, but actively avoiding those showmakers new shows as well. ‎· Jennifer D.
Agreed, Jennifer. I saw a lot of people upset about Arrow's recent development, as well, but at least that sort of played into the storyline; I just don't see how they're going to keep Sleepy Hollow or Castle going without the main female leads (I don't watch Blacklist, so I'm not aware of how that storyline plays out). ‎· Mr. Noodle
I think I had less of a problem with Arrow because it did seem to fit their story so far (and I have never been super fond of that actress, since it never felt like she matched up well with the chemistry of the other female leads.) Blacklist I am still unsure about - people seem to be unconvinced that the actress is really gone (since this coincides with maternity leave,) so I'm waiting to see. ‎· Jennifer D.
Yeah, I'm with you on the Arrow thing. Honestly, I wouldn't mind if Thea went away, too, but if they write Felicity out of the show, the kidlet & I are both out. ‎· Mr. Noodle
