Why is it even an option to fly back into a different airport than you're flying out of when you book a round trip? This is a problem. .

Booked a flight at the last minute so I could avoid driving 13 hours each way to St. Louis and back this weekend. Turns out my departing flight flies out of BWI, and my returning flight lands at DCA.
I'd guess those two are a special case since they're close together and a lot of people who live more or less in between might use public transit to get to the airport, so departing from one and returning to the other might be a decent option. But if you don't live close by or use public transit to get there, it's not such a good option.
Exactly. You'd think they would have at least thrown up a big red warning message saying "You're going to fly back into a different airport than you're departing from; is that okay?"
