Few months ago, @FordService told me I needed new front brakes. Apparently they replaced my rear brakes instead, so I still need new front .
OH NOES! Are they going to make it good? ‎· MoTO Babycakes
Not sure. I'll check when I go to pick up my car from getting its oil changed. I'll have to bring it back in next week for the brakes. ‎· Mr. Noodle
I would like to know. ‎· MoTO Babycakes
This reminds me of the thing where the surgeon gets the patient to mark "THIS FOOT" in Sharpie before going under anesthesia. ‎· Catherine
They noted on my service record that it's their mistake. I had to go to the airport early on Thursday, so I couldn't have them do it on Wednesday when they noticed it. Drove to the airport, then straight home yesterday, and now I've set up an appointment for tomorrow for them to take care of it. Since it's noted on my service record that it was their fault, I'm hoping they'll take care of it for free (and potentially any damage that's occurred as a result), but won't know for sure until tomorrow morning. ‎· Mr. Noodle
Let me know. ‎· MoTO Babycakes
At first, they tried to charge me $350 for the work. Then, I asked why I was paying full price for their mistake, so the guy told me he'd see what he could do with the bill. Then, after I gave him kind of a sour look about that, he asked me what I wanted. I told him that I'd already paid $215 for this work once before, so I expected them to at least take that off my bill. They then asked if $120 was acceptable. I agreed, as I know they had to do extra work on the rotors, but I did so a bit begrudgingly, since they wouldn't have had to do that work if they'd replaced them the first time around. ‎· Mr. Noodle
I love it. It's not like you rolled up trying to scam them from the start. They make a mistake, try to charge you for it, and then when you call them on it they're like 'What you want, son?' Nah. ‎· Hookuh Tinypants
@cgrymala I'm sorry you went through that. Let me check on where you can at least report this. ‎· MoTO Babycakes
@cgrymala: Talking to my colleagues, we're in agreement that perhaps you should get a refund for the labor for your rear brakes since you did not need them. Either way, if you don't feel satisfied with your service or want to talk to someone else, contact Ford Customer Service Division at 1 (800) 392-3673. I haven't used them but I understand that they are pretty responsive and will connect you with someone in your region who can help you. ‎· MoTO Babycakes
