I was fired from my internship for writing a proposal for a more flexible dress code — Ask a Manager http://www.askamanager.org/2016/06/i-was-fired-from-my-intern...
"I spoke with my manager about being allowed some leeway under the dress code and was told this was not possible, despite the other person being allowed to do it. I soon found out that many of the other interns felt the same way, and the ones who asked their managers about it were told the same thing as me. We decided to write a proposal stating why we should be allowed someone leeway under the dress code." ‎· JustDuckie
Via The Toast. I just cringed through the whole thing like "oh...oh no...oh my god, you didn't....sweet jesus you did. you actually did that." ‎· JustDuckie
And the other person who could wear different shoes? Was a veteran with a prosthetic leg, IIRC. ‎· bentley
Right! Which is why I'm completely O.O at "if we had known about this we would have factored it into our argument." No. No you would not have, because it's a medical condition that is none of your goddamn business. JFC these kids. ‎· JustDuckie
totally agree with all of the above and the feedback given - slight side note- someone submitted a question to the head of my lab for an all hands meeting complaining about the clothes interns were allowed to wear- the director was like as long as ok with health and safety and not meeting with a customer/sponsor/etc., whatever. ‎· Christina Pikas
