think i need to make some Irish scones next week. was thinking soda bread but scones are winning the war right now.

What is the difference between an Irish scone and a non-Irish scone? Baking powder or soda?
it sounds like there is a fair amount of variation in them, according to this article. this is the recipe i used before, and they are great! to me, they are much lighter and crumblier than other scones i've had. in some ways closer to a biscuit.
