I'm finding that I need to stop fighting my life. Instead of accepting and doing, I seem to always fight against doing things that need to be done. How I've survived this long in the world is surprising. And it's not that I'm fighting towards anything. I don't have a goal in mind when I'm resisting. It's like I resist so I can. My life is pretty good by most standards and I should start accepting that fact. (I wonder if the resistance is a false sense of control? I don't exactly think things are out of control but maybe it's something deeper?) #deepthoughts #coffeemusings
So many of you awesome people are simply "Getting the Damn Thing Done" all the time. And it's impressive. For me it's more about "Doing the Damn Thing Later (or Never)". Admittedly, we're more likely to post our successes much more often than our failures but consistency is always a notable trait, regardless. ‎· Hey, it's CAJ!
Perhaps in line with many posts, I should start a "To Done" post every so often. While it's completely about me and some self-congratulations, putting what I have actually done out there could be helpful. I do know that having the best To Do lists and intentions certainly don't work for me. Let's see if the reverse does. ‎· Hey, it's CAJ!
And thank you for following along with these morning musings. Since I've taken out the trash and recycling, I may feel worthy of a wee nap before I get to cleaning the kitchen which has been patiently waiting for my attention for a few days now. ‎· Hey, it's CAJ!
I think I'm more in your camp on this. ‎· John B.
I need my to-do lists. But I've started highlighting the tasks I've completed on the list. It's helpful to look at it and see how much I've actually accomplished, particularly when I'm having one of those weeks where it feels like all I'm doing is spinning my wheels. ‎· Jilli
I'm a big fan of "to dones" for motivation. :) ‎· Have Yourself a Merry Little LB
