Ever start to use a word in your password and realize you're not entirely sure you can type it without seeing it on the screen? It might have had some repeated letters that cause me to lose track. :P
LOL, I have totally done that. I actually had to change a password once because I had so much trouble typing it. ‎- Jennifer D.
I decided against using it. And since I'll probably never use it now, the word was "bananas". So now I won't break out into a Gwen Stefani song whenever I would have typed it. ‎- Hey, it's CAJ!
Oh, I can totally see that. (I'd be stuck with the "Go Bananas" cheer.) ‎- Jennifer D.
I immediately thought of the "Go Bananas" cheer, which is how I taught my daughter how to spell it correctly, when she was about 6. ‎- April
you clearly know a different "go bananas" cheer than I do. (ETA: the one I learned in HS would not have been appropriate for a 6 year old. For that matter, it probably wasn't appropriate for a HS band, especially not one from a catholic school) ‎- ellbeecee
I suspect the banana cheer I know is the same as @ellbeecee (gotta lean to the north, lean to the south, peel your banana and stick it in your mouth). ‎- Kirsten
Almost. Lean to left, lean to the right, peel your banana and (uh) take a bite. With suggestive gestures. ‎- ellbeecee
Yeah, we had that verse too. ‎- Kirsten
How did I manage not to learn this cheer during my years with the marching band? I mean, the songs we sang on the bus... ‎- Catherine
Must be a different version, because the one I know is very G-rated without any suggestive gestures and is taught to the grammar school cheer leaders in my town. (B-A-N-A-N-A-S, Go bananas, go go bananas. Peel them to the left, peel them to the right, peel them down the center and fight team, fight) ‎- April
Mine was like ellbeecee's. Maybe it's the Southern version? ‎- Ell Bee
Also, Johnny Mercer wrote a song called, "I Can Spell Banana, But I Never Know When to Stop." ‎- Ell Bee

Southern version makes sense. We had a third verse that I've been trying to remember, but it was banned my freshman year for being too lewd, so apparently I didn't hear it enough for it to stick. ‎- Kirsten
I believe this may be my most commented thread on Mokum. o_0 ‎- Hey, it's CAJ!
This thread has suddenly earwormed me with bananaphone https://youtu.be/j5C6X9vOEkU ‎- ellbeecee
This thread is officially bananas. ‎- Micah
