Bataman v. Superman looks completely idiotic.
It looks loosely based on the graphic novel "Batman Returns" by Frank Miller. As were the Sin City movies. And while I enjoy Frank's graphic novel work, it doesn't always transfer well to the screen if done faithfully. Especially the dialogue. But I'm willing to give it a chance since I'm a complete comic book nerd. ‎- MoTO Babycakes
But yeah, Miller really shook up the conventional Batman/Superman mythos. Superman became a tool of the government and a foil for Batman, the protagonist of the book. "Old Batman" we used to call him because this was Bruce Wayne well past his prime. As it was, their confrontation was only part of one issue of a four issue work. ‎- MoTO Babycakes
The movie previews I've seen borrow heavily from Miller's work, at least in the imagery and iconography. The story deviates quite a bit as it appears to be a beginning of the DC mythos and the Justice League where Miller's work spoke to the end of all that. ‎- MoTO Babycakes
And I'll stop now... ‎- MoTO Babycakes
Yep to both Jennifer and MoTO. I loved the 4 book series by Frank Miller. Have the original issues and a bound book with all four in it as well. ‎- Will
I'm sure this movie will totally live up to all of that. Yep. ‎- Jim: Lose Cannon
Was that sarcasm? :^) If so, then I am sure you are correct. ‎- Will
