hi again :) is this LIVE-PAUSE thing working?

If you see a happy smile then it should work. Do you? ‎· псы в рапиде

yes there is smile, but not working :/ is this function anything to do with flash, because flash disabled in my browser ‎· cifadam

actually my expectations about LIVE may be a bit high :) i'm trying to UP some feeds without reloading the page ‎· cifadam

@cifadam: It uses several different transports, starting with Websocket and then downgrading to basic POST. There is no Flash transport. Do you have anything in your browser console, and what kind of Internet connection are you on? Also, what device/browser do you use? Does it work on different browser/device? ‎· псы в рапиде

Typically it works for almost everyone. I guess you should write details on your environment to @mokum-support - this is speciall @group for support tickets (kind of). ‎· denistsyplakov

@cifadam: ah, I see. Posts do not jump when you're on the page, it's too annoying. Posts will jump after the reload (and there are plans to change that). ‎· псы в рапиде

@cifadam: So, "Live" means that you will see new changes/comments/likes and new posts without reloading. ‎· псы в рапиде

ok, there is no animated update then? don't get it wrong, i think this is very good already, but animated updates would be spectacular :) ‎· cifadam

by the way, you said (and there are plans to change that), do you think about disabling jump completely? (because there are some platforms like this) ‎· cifadam

@cifadam: wait until you have more subscriptions, and more active homepage, and then we'll talk again. Live is not perfect currently, but it turned out that visual instability is not comfortable, so we made it more quiet visually. ‎· псы в рапиде

I can't remember how ff worked. it should be something like "if you have your textarea open to write a comment don't jump up but if a new comment appears on the thread I'm commenting while I'm writing show it without being annoying" kind of thing. like magic. ‎· inconsolabilmente Lucretia

yea it was exactly like that. :) ‎· ves.

@lucretia: yes, it's in my todo list. Currently when you edit any text/comment, page updating is disabled completely, and re-enabled after you submit the changes. But the current post still needs to be updated, that's true. ‎· псы в рапиде

@cifadam: by the way, when you comment a post and somebody is subscribed to your comments, they will have this new commented post jump to the top of the page they're looking at (unless this post was already visible on this page). But for you this post will stay at the same position until you reload the page. so, yes, bumping posts works (for others). ‎· псы в рапиде

I think this jump is an instantaneous thing. Probably we need a js animation to be able to understand the up motion. ‎· fsniper
