From Stepanov's lecture anecdotes: MIT computer scientists adopted "foo", "bar", and "baz" in 1960-s, but not only. There's also "hunoz". After lecture, I googled this phrase from a 1988 paper: "...where hunoz, hukairz, and huaskt are unreferenced..."
