Balthasar Neumann's place

In 1724, Balthasar Neumann, chief architect of Würzburg Residence, moved his residence to an estate called Hof Ober-Frankfurt, where he set up his architectural office. To be able to observe his various construction sites spread over the city, he had built the 'Neumannkanzel' on the roof of the building. It even survived the bombing attack in 1945 and is still widely visible today.
