Overseas academics claim discrimination in university recruitment -

"Universities in Finland are keen to build up their international profiles as attractive institutes of tertiary education that meet or surpass global standards of teaching and research. A major aspect of that aspiration involves the ability to offer tuition from world-class lecturers. However some academics say they're being bypassed for permanent tenure in favour of Finns – and they're calling for more transparent hiring practices from Finnish universities."
