I left a comment here: /tisane/1088741, but the post does not appear in my Comments feed at https://mokum.place/tillulen/comments. Why is that?
@tillulen: this post was hidden by you. This is probably counterintuitive, I have strong feeling that "Hide" should hide posts only on newsfeeds and nowhere else. ‎- псы в рапиде
@squadette Thanks. I agree. Not sure why, but I expected the Hide feature to only hide a post from the main news feed, so I would still be able to see it in the Discussions and Comments feeds. ‎- переходник на личности

Is there a way to search within the posts I've commented on, and only within those posts? Thanks.
Not yet, sorry. ‎- псы в рапиде

Hola! Is it a common issue that pictures won't be displayed anymore? I don't see the thumbnails and if I click on the picture itself it says that the image couldn't be loaded. I did clear the cache and my settings and it didn't work. Any suggestions?
What device and browser do you have? Can you show couple of posts you have trouble with? Thank you, ‎- псы в рапиде
Also, can you send me a direct message with a screenshot with one of the "if I click on the picture itself it says that the image couldn't be loaded." with URL line visible? ‎- псы в рапиде

Keeps asking for URL! ‎- Halil

I am trying to listen realtime rivers with original faye (node.js) client as suggested on API docs. All my posts -created by me- are delivered to faye client with "deleted" top level key. Did I miss something? How can I debug the flow? (I prepared a 30-seconds quickcast: http://quick.as/wgoi03wb)
What I did so far: 1. Make a request to https://mokum.place/alice.json ‎- bot
@bot: cool, I'll update the docs. Feel free to contact me if you have any other questions. Thanks, ‎- псы в рапиде

Is there any way to manage who's subscribed to you? I've looked in the subscriber area of my profile but don't see a "manage subscribers" link.
well, the only way to "manage" subscribers is to unsubscribe somebody from your feed. To do that, you can visit their page, and then block/unblock them (this unsubscribes them as the side effect). I just realized that this is truly horrible workaround and I'm going to fix that. Thank you, ‎- псы в рапиде

This may or may not be a bug, because I'm not 100% sure how the permissions system works, but. If a limited-to-Mokum or private-to-friends-only account crossposts to a public group, the post has the asterisk or lock icon. If posts to public groups by less-than-fully-public accounts are public, that icon shouldn't be there.
Example: https://mokum.place/lsw/983539 I'm limited-to-Mokum, but lsw is public. Post has the asterisk, at least in my view. ‎- LibSkrat
@libskrat FYI, lsw is not public. If you try to read it without logging in, it says "[lock] Private feed." ‎- bentley
^ this. Btw, just yesterday I added the asterisk to user and group popup info, so such things are easier to see. ‎- псы в рапиде
Ah! My mistake, then. Never mind. ‎- LibSkrat
i haven't checked if it was reported already, but if i open mokum from blank page, then edit my own comment on first page and submit it by hitting "return" on chrome @ iPad2 retina, comment changes successfuly, but after that every tap on every element and even on blank space opens keyboard.
it's been here for several months, but i was to lazy to report ‎- secondary psychopathy
it gets even worse when you try to open a photo, keyboard shows up and you can't return back to the feed ‎- secondary psychopathy
can be fixed by reloading the page or transiting to another one ‎- secondary psychopathy
@tisane: fixed, thanks. ‎- псы в рапиде
@squadette: no no no no, thank you ‎- secondary psychopathy

I asked a friend to join Mokum so I could add her to a room I'm creating. She says Mokum "can't find" her email in order to send her a confirmation. It's an email address I mail her on all the time so I know it's working. Can an admin DM me so I can tell you the email address she's trying to use to register?

Is it possible to change the privacy level of a room after you've created it?
For each group that you've created (or are an admin of) there is an admin settings link on top of it's page (the list of the groups that you administer is in the sidebar under "Groups as admin", and you can change it's privacy level at will. If you are talking about personal private subfeed - then it's by definition private. Everybody can have a main feed which is either private or not, and if he creates a private subfeed, it can only be private (regardless of a status of the main feed). If you need to change privacy levels from time to time - you'll need to create a group (see "Create new group" in "Manage" subsection in a sidebar. ‎- snowflake herder
I haven't even explored subfeeds yet. But thank you for letting me know I can change the privacy of a group. Sometimes a group is best as a private group but best also as public at first so people can learn about it when it's forming. ‎- Spidra Webster

Is there any way to find the comments I have liked? Clicking on "Likes" only gives me post likes, not comment likes. Thanks.
@bentleywg: no, there is not at the moment. Comment likes are intentionally "minimal". ‎- псы в рапиде
Okay. Thanks. ‎- bentley
when I comment now the page refreshes to put the commented thread on top (losing the point I've been scrolling to). has something changed recently? if I remember well it didn't work this way until yesterday or so.
but I also noticed that it doesn't happen after every comment, only sometimes. ‎- inconsolabilmente Lucretia

[Feature request] Currently moderators cannot invite anyone to a private room that they're not mutually subscribed to. I was wondering if this could be changed. I keep a small amount of subscribers because I talk very frankly about private issues in my life that most people don't want to know about. I converse with many more people here on Mokum than I subscribe to my feed. I've started a new private group and would like to be able to add people who've said they're interested without us having to mutually subscribe to one another first.
As a workaround, right now you can send people the URL (either in directs, or even just replying with comments) of the group (or of a private subfeed), when they'll open it they will see a "Request subscription" button. You can even put this url in your description (if it's a group) ‎- snowflake herder
Thank you! ‎- Spidra Webster
There is a potentially problematic issue here: if inviting anyone is allowed, it creates an opportunity for spamming people with unwanted invites and then blasting their feeds with content, that's why right now mutual subscription works as a first step in a chain of trust. Clearly this is not your case, but though mokum is relatively small we already had a couple of people doing SEO and promotion. As of now, they can't invite unsuspecting visitors. Allowing to invite anyone is, in a sense, similar to the Facebook's default, which allows anyone to post on your timeline and tag you in the advertising pictures. And here, to be able to invite other, people need to establish themselves publicly first and then form some sort of a connection. ‎- snowflake herder
Well, as long as sending the URL allows them to request subscription, that's an acceptable workaround. ‎- Spidra Webster

[Feature request] I know that the import feature requires time, and once in place it will help identifying and hiding lot of tweets that are just RT and are simply clogging my home for example. While waiting for that, what about a "hide by keyword" function? It was a third party script made for FF, and applied using Greasemonkey, that could hide entries based on a word or hashtag. I feel it would help also preventing spoilers, or some topics that may be annoying to the user...
This would certainly help many of the US-election-weary. ‎- LibSkrat
@kickdrum: got it, thanks. the greasemonkey code for FF was a little bit more advanced than this, it would still be nice to have it for mokum. ‎- inconsolabilmente Lucretia

Hi, this should have been fixed several days ago, let me know if the problem still presists. I apologize for the delay, turns out I was not subscribed to @support ‎- snowflake herder

Today between 02:35 UTC and 05:05 UTC Mokum was down. Sorry about that! The reason behind that is one of the hardest problems in computer science, namely shortage of disk space due to forgotten log file. @ayoshi and @haron handled this problem, and service was restored (thank you, guys!) We'll be improving disk space situation by moving half of images to the second server, but it requires some changes to Mokum code base). 2.5 hours of downtime gives us ~99.97% of yearly uptime so far. Thank you for your support,

Desktop (firefox latest on Mac OS): I like it! Only problem is that lettering is a bit too light and small on e.g. "posted to" and "about X time ago". A bit more contrast and I think it'll be fine. ‎- LibSkrat
About the widening of the line spacing between the post, the timestamp, the commands and the comments-block: it seems a little too wide, too far apart. (But the line spacing between comments is fine.) ‎- bentley

The ok icon is unresponsive, it's been like that for some time now, I usually have to wait for several minutes before it becomes responsive. Also it does always work, I sometimes get a windmill like image that rotates endlessly and doesn't stop unless I either refresh page or try to repost link by hitting URL again. I'm using Android Firefox.

i believe mokum devs can't test all browser types at this moment. why don't you switch to ghostery browser or chrome browser for a while? may be devs can have time to run their tests in selenium to check different browsers. ‎- elvan returns to balkons
